Support Sustainable Procurement Practices
The SLCDPU New WRF Project’s sustainable procurement practices are aligned with Salt Lake City’s 6.01.07 Sustainable Procurement.
The project’s goal is for at least 15% of all project materials, supplies, and equipment meet the sustainable procurement policy/program requirements.
Examples for how the project team will achieve this goal:
Wherever practical, the project team will:
Purchase environmentally preferable products containing the maximum amount of post-consumer and/or recovered materials practicable in both the product and the product packaging;
Purchase energy efficient electrical products;
Source products from local, sustainable businesses
